Wires are the most important part of any electrical or electronic circuit as they enable the current to flow in the circuit by providing a suitable path with the least resistance. You can control the flow of current on the PCB by copper etchings but outside the PCB the wires are the current carriers. AWG (American Wire Gauge) is used to define standards for the wire sizes and the maximum current that can flow through it. This cable is 18 AWG i.e. having a cross-section area of 1 sq. mm another thing is this cable is multi-strand which provides better flexibility and reliable operation. These wires can be used to make connections in a perfboard PCB or even in the headers or microcontroller boards like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PIC etc. They are easy to solder and special thing about this cable is that it has PVC coating to provide insulation against flowing current to the user and against water and normal wear and tear.
