This 24-pin DIP IC Socket is a very useful if you wish to provide a place for your DIP IC to be easily removed from your board in case you want to change it easily while prototyping or if it gets damaged. By using this Socket, you can also reuse your IC as you don’t need to solder the IC to your board as socket can be soldered onto the board and you can put your IC on the socket.
