Project idea
Detect unauthorized ignition/tamper events, auto-SMS the owner via a SIM800L GSM module, and on a reply SMS command cut ignition through a relay interface driven by an 8051 microcontroller.
An optional GPS module can append live latitude/longitude in SMS, enabling map lookup of the vehicle’s position.
Project description
An AT89S52-based controller monitors theft-status inputs and triggers the SIM800L to send an SMS; on receiving a specific reply, it actuates a relay to disable ignition safely.
Core building blocks include the 8051 MCU, GSM module for SMS, a 5 V relay module for engine lock control, regulated power, and basic passives/IO on breadboard/PCB for integration.
