Project Idea
Build a Smart Retail Checkout System that automates the billing process using RFID technology and an Arduino-based setup. This system allows customers to scan RFID-tagged products, automatically generating the bill and displaying it on an LCD. It streamlines the checkout process, reduces queue time, and minimizes the need for manual intervention, making it ideal for small retail stores, supermarkets, and educational demos.
Project Description
The Smart Retail Checkout System uses an RFID reader to scan products embedded with RFID tags. An Arduino Uno processes the scanned data, identifies each product, and calculates the total amount. The bill is then displayed on an LCD screen. A Buzzer can be included to signal successful scans. This project introduces automation in retail environments and can be integrated with inventory management systems. The entire system is powered using a DC source, and components are connected using jumper wires for ease of assembly and future upgrades.
