Develop an IoT-enabled waste management system that automates garbage collection, optimizes routes for waste trucks, and monitors bin levels in real time. The aim is to improve urban cleanliness, reduce operational costs, and promote a sustainable city environment.
Project Description
The IoT-Based Smart City Waste Management System uses smart bins equipped with ultrasonic sensors to measure waste levels. The data is transmitted to a central server via GSM or LoRa, allowing authorities to track bin status, schedule timely collection, and avoid overflow. The system also supports route optimization for garbage trucks, reducing fuel consumption and collection time. With a mobile app or dashboard, city officials can monitor waste distribution patterns, generate reports, and improve overall sanitation efficiency.
