An RFID-powered smart library management system that automates book issuance, returns, inventory tracking, and anti-theft security. This system enhances operational efficiency while improving the user experience for both librarians and readers.
Project Description
The RFID-Based Smart Library System uses RFID tags on books and RFID readers at entry/exit points and counters to identify, track, and manage library items in real time. Each user has an RFID-enabled ID card, allowing for quick self-checkout and return without manual barcode scanning. Integrated with a database, the system updates inventory automatically and generates reports on usage trends, overdue books, and availability. The system can also trigger security alarms if unissued books are taken out. A web dashboard allows librarians to manage members, track book circulation, and analyze borrowing patterns.
