Project Idea
Automate the attendance process using RFID technology for schools, offices, and institutions. Each user carries an RFID tag that is scanned by a reader to record attendance. The system logs the data with time stamps and displays confirmation on an LCD. This project introduces RFID communication, data logging, and real-time monitoring—making it a valuable solution for automation learning and practical implementation.
Project Description
This project is an RFID-based attendance system built using Arduino Uno, an RFID module (RC522), and an LCD display. When an RFID tag is scanned, the Arduino verifies the ID, logs the attendance (to serial monitor), and displays the user’s name and timestamp on the LCD. A buzzer provides sound feedback upon successful scan. The system is powered by a battery and uses modular jumper wire connections for easy prototyping.
