Enhance door security using a dual-layer authentication system that combines RFID card scanning and password entry. This project is designed to allow access only when both credentials are verified. Ideal for offices, labs, hostels, and homes requiring improved access control and Arduino-based automation.
Project Description
This project implements an RFID and password-based door lock system using Arduino Uno as the central controller. An RC522 RFID reader detects the authorized RFID tag, and a 4x4 keypad collects the password input. If both credentials match predefined values, the Arduino activates a servo motor to unlock the door and optionally display access status on a 16x2 LCD. The system ensures higher security by combining two-step authentication. It is easy to build, cost-effective, and ideal for educational and real-world security applications.
