Project idea:
A complete system that enables users to control home appliances (lights, fans, etc.) via a Windows PC application using a serial (RS‑232) connection. Commands from the PC are sent to an 8051 microcontroller, which drives relays to switch electrical loads. Real‑time status feedback from the microcontroller is displayed on the PC app. Ideal for desktop‑based control (serial port required—typical on desktops, not laptops).
