Project Idea
The project is a remote load control system based on DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) technology. It enables controlling various electrical loads distributed over a large area using commands sent from a mobile phone keypad. The system decodes the DTMF tones into digital signals which the 8051 microcontroller processes to switch relays, thereby turning loads ON or OFF. It is ideal for managing industrial, domestic, or agricultural electrical systems remotely.
Project Description
The system uses a DTMF decoder interfaced with the audio output of a mobile phone to receive tone commands generated when a keypad button is pressed. The decoder converts these tone frequencies into their equivalent digital codes. These digital codes are input to an 8051 microcontroller programmed to identify specific phone commands and activate the corresponding relay through a relay driver IC. This actuates electrical loads by switching them ON or OFF as per the received commands, allowing efficient remote management and control of devices.
