Project Idea
Develop an IoT-based system to monitor water flow in real time and send data to the cloud platform for analysis. Using a water flow sensor and NodeMCU (ESP8266), the system measures flow rate and volume, transmitting the data via Wi-Fi to platforms to Blynk. It promotes water conservation by helping detect leaks, overuse, or irregular supply, making it ideal for homes, farms, and smart city applications.
Project Description
This project implements an IoT-based water flow monitoring system using a YF-S201 water flow sensor, NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller, and a cloud platform for visualization. The flow sensor measures the rate and total volume of water passing through a pipe. The data is processed by the NodeMCU and transmitted over Wi-Fi to a cloud dashboard (blynk). Users can monitor usage patterns, receive alerts for unusual consumption, and log data for analysis. The system is compact, easy to set up, and suitable for real-time, remote water management solutions.
