Project Idea

Develop an IoT-based smart water leak detector that alerts users in real-time about water leakage in homes, offices, or industries. The system uses water sensors connected to a Wi-Fi-enabled microcontroller to send instant notifications to smartphones, helping prevent water damage and conserve resources.

 

Project Description

The IoT-Based Smart Water Leak Detector employs water leakage sensors (rain sensors or conductive probes) connected to a NodeMCU ESP8266/ESP32 microcontroller. When leakage is detected, the system immediately sends alerts to a cloud platform (like Blynk, ThingSpeak, or Firebase), which notifies the user via a smartphone app or email. A buzzer can also provide a local audible alert. The system can monitor multiple zones and display real-time status on a cloud dashboard, making it ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial water safety applications.
