Design an IoT-enabled waste segregation system that automatically sorts waste into categories like biodegradable, recyclable, and non-recyclable, while providing real-time monitoring and data analytics to improve waste management efficiency.

 

Project Description
The IoT-Based Smart Waste Segregation System uses sensors such as moisture sensors, infrared sensors, and weight sensors to detect and categorize waste accurately. Once identified, waste is directed to the appropriate bin using a motorized mechanism. IoT connectivity sends real-time data on bin capacity and waste type to a central dashboard, enabling authorities to track waste levels, optimize collection schedules, and promote sustainable waste management. This system aims to reduce landfill usage, encourage recycling, and improve cleanliness in urban and rural areas.
