Develop an IoT-enabled smart gas detection system that senses combustible and toxic gases in real-time, issues multi-channel alerts, and can automatically activate safety measures (ventilation, shut-off valves) to prevent accidents and protect people and property.
Project Description
The IoT-Based Smart Gas Detection System combines gas sensor modules, a microcontroller, communications (Wi-Fi / GSM), and a cloud dashboard to continuously monitor gas concentrations (LPG, methane, CO, smoke, etc.). When gas levels exceed configurable thresholds the system immediately triggers local alarms (buzzer, LED), sends push/SMS notifications to predefined contacts, and logs events to the cloud for analytics. Optionally it can activate relays to shut off gas valves or switch on exhaust fans. The dashboard displays live sensor readings, historical trends, threshold settings, and alert history to help administrators act quickly and perform preventive maintenance.
