This project automates garden care using sensors and IoT technology. It monitors soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and light levels, and automatically irrigates plants when needed. The system sends real-time data and alerts to the user’s mobile app or cloud dashboard via Wi-Fi (ESP32/ESP8266).

 

 Components Required:

  • ESP32 / ESP8266 – Microcontroller with Wi-Fi

  • Soil Moisture Sensor – Detects soil dryness

  • DHT11 / DHT22 Sensor – Monitors temperature & humidity

  • Light Sensor (LDR or BH1750) – Checks sunlight intensity

  • Relay Module – Switches the water pump

  • Mini Water Pump – For automatic irrigation

  • OLED / LCD Display (optional) – Shows sensor data locally

  • Power Supply / Battery – Provides system power

  • Cloud Platform – Blynk, Thingspeak, Firebase

 

 How It Works:

  • Sensors detect real-time environmental data (moisture, temperature, light).

  • Data is read by the ESP32/ESP8266 microcontroller.

  • If the soil moisture drops below a set level

    • The relay triggers a water pump to irrigate plants.

  • Data is uploaded to a cloud platform like Blynk, Firebase, or ThingSpeak.

  • Users get real-time notifications and can monitor from their phone or PC.
