Project Idea
Design an IoT-based smart curtain system that allows users to remotely control the opening and closing of curtains through a smartphone app. The system can also automate curtain movement based on ambient light levels or a preset schedule, enhancing home automation, energy efficiency, and user convenience.
Project Description
The IoT-Based Smart Curtains system uses a Node MCU ESP32 microcontroller connected to a motorized curtain rail. An LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensor detects ambient light intensity, enabling automatic curtain operation based on light conditions. Users can also control the curtains manually or set schedules using a smartphone app via Wi-Fi connectivity to a cloud platform (Blynk). The motorized mechanism is powered by a 12V DC motor controlled through a relay or motor driver module. This system provides a smart solution for home and office window management.
