The IoT-Based RC Car is a remote-controlled vehicle that can be operated using a smartphone app or web interface over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. It serves as an interactive and educational project that combines IoT, embedded systems, and motor control. This project demonstrates how IoT can enhance wireless vehicle control for applications in surveillance, automation, and entertainment.

 

Components

  • ESP8266/ESP32 or Bluetooth Module (HC-05) – Wireless control unit

  • L293D Motor Driver Module – Controls the motors based on commands

  • DC Motors (x2 or x4) – Enables movement of the car

  • Wheels & Chassis – The base structure for the car

  • Battery Pack (6V/9V/12V) – Powers the motors and controller

  • Jumper Wires & Switches – For connectivity and control

  • IoT App or Bluetooth App (Blynk / Custom App) – Interface for control

  • Optional Sensors (Ultrasonic/IR) – For obstacle detection

 

 How It Works

  • The user sends commands from a mobile app or Bluetooth.

  • ESP8266/Bluetooth receives the signal and processes it.

  • The motor driver receives direction commands to control the motors.

  • Car moves forward, backward, left, or right based on the commands.

  • Sensors (optional) can prevent collisions with obstacles.
