Design an IoT-based automated public transportation system that enhances commuter convenience by providing real-time bus tracking, smart ticketing, passenger counting, and schedule optimization. This system aims to improve transport efficiency and transparency for both operators and passengers.
Project Description:
The IoT-Based Automated Public Transportation System leverages ESP32 with GPS, RFID, and IR sensors to manage and monitor public transport vehicles. Each bus is equipped with a GPS module for real-time tracking, an RFID module for automated fare collection, and IR sensors to count passengers boarding and exiting. The data is transmitted to a cloud platform (such as Blynk) and can be accessed by passengers via a mobile app, showing live bus locations, seat availability, and estimated arrival times. The system also supports route analytics for operators to optimize performance.
