Project Idea:
This project automates the counting of products on industrial production lines using an Atmega328 microcontroller and an ultrasonic sensor. It eliminates manual counting errors and fatigue by providing continuous, accurate, and automatic counting of products moving along a conveyor or production line. The count is displayed live on an LCD and stored for further use.
 
Project Description:
The system uses an ultrasonic sensor that emits and receives ultrasonic waves to detect objects passing by on the production line. Each detection is registered by the Atmega328 microcontroller which updates the product count in real time. The count is displayed on an LCD screen for easy monitoring, while the microcontroller also stores the data for reporting or transmission. This eliminates the need for manual tallying, reduces human error, and ensures continuous process tracking in industrial environments. The project hardware consists of the Atmega 328 controller, ultrasonic sensor, LCD display, power source, regulator, switches, LEDs, and other basic electronic components mounted on a PCB for compact installation.
