Project idea

Build a microcontroller-based AC motor controller that allows wireless start/stop, speed modulation via phase control, and safe direction reversal, while monitoring temperature and vibration to auto-shutdown on faults.​
An RPM encoder and wheel-size input compute real-time speed and distance, with status on a 16x2 LCD for operator feedback in lab and light industrial demos.​

 

Project description

An ATmega328P manages zero-cross synchronized TRIAC phase control for speed, opto-isolated via MOC3021 and sensed by H11AA1, while DPDT relays reverse single-phase winding connections for direction under safe interlocks.​
Bluetooth commands from an Android app adjust speed and direction; DS18B20 and SW-420 modules trigger cut-off on over-temperature or excessive vibration, with live RPM/distance and alarms on a 16x2 LCD.​
