Project Idea:
This project aims to automatically position a dish antenna at the exact angle for maximum signal reception using a standard TV remote. An 8051 microcontroller processes IR commands to drive DC motors in horizontal and vertical directions, ensuring precise dish alignment.
Components:
8051 Microcontroller
IR Receiver
DC Motor
Motor Driver IC
Voltage Regulator IC
Resistors, Capacitors, Transistors
Diodes, LEDs, Switches, Push Buttons
PCB, Breadboard, Cables & Connectors
Transformer/Adapter
ICs, IC Sockets, CD
TV Remote
Software: Keil Compiler (C Programming)
Project Features:
Wireless dish alignment using a TV remote
Microcontroller-based automation
Dual-axis control (horizontal & vertical)
Compact, easy-to-use setup
Uses RC5 coding for reliable IR communication
Applications:
Educational electronics project for students
Prototype for satellite dish alignment systems
Demonstration of IR communication with microcontrollers
Useful for embedded systems training
