Project Idea

Automate toll collection using RFID technology to reduce delays and human intervention. Vehicles equipped with RFID tags are scanned at toll booths, and the system automatically deducts the toll amount from a prepaid account. This ensures faster processing, reduced congestion, and enhanced transparency in toll management.

Project Description:

The RFID-Based Toll Collection System utilizes an Arduino microcontroller and an RFID reader to identify vehicles and process toll transactions automatically. Each vehicle has a unique RFID tag. When the tag is detected at the toll booth, the Arduino checks the ID against a predefined list and simulates the deduction of a toll charge, which can also be logged on an LCD screen.. This project helps understand the fundamentals of RFID technology, automation, and embedded system integration in transportation.
