Develop an IoT-based fleet management system that provides real-time tracking, route optimization, fuel monitoring, and maintenance alerts for commercial vehicles. The system enhances logistics efficiency, reduces operational costs, and improves overall fleet safety through centralized monitoring via a smartphone or web dashboard.
Project Description
The IoT-Based Fleet Management System integrates GPS modules (such as NEO-6M) with NodeMCU ESP32/ESP8266 microcontrollers installed in each vehicle to gather location, speed, and engine data. This information is sent to a cloud platform (Blynk, Firebase, or ThingSpeak) via Wi-Fi or GSM network for real-time visualization. The system enables fleet managers to track vehicle movements, receive alerts for route deviations, monitor fuel levels (optional with fuel sensors), and get maintenance reminders based on usage data. A mobile app/dashboard allows live tracking and report generation. This project is ideal for logistics companies, public transportation, and service fleets.
