Project idea
Build an embedded safety system that fuses alcohol sensing, impact/vibration, temperature/fire, tilt/rollover, GPS positioning, and GSM messaging to alert designated contacts in real time and store synchronized telemetry on an SD card for investigators.
Project description
An Arduino Mega reads MQ-3 alcohol levels, vibration (SW-420), temperature, gyroscope tilt, rain/water ingress, and motor speed to detect risky events, then sends SMS via SIM800L with live GPS coordinates and starts high-frequency logging to a microSD module for later retrieval. The system also flags overspeeding, fire, rollover, and drunk driving, logs event timelines, and demonstrates engine control using two DC motors and a trimpot-based speed limit threshold.

Features
Instant SMS alerts with GPS link for drunk driving, fire, impact, rollover, and overspeed events using SIM800L and NEO-6M modules.
Continuous blackbox logging to microSD (sensor snapshots per second) for post-crash analysis and exact incident reconstruction.
Modular, serviceable hardware using Arduino Mega, off-the-shelf sensor modules, and standard connectors for rapid prototyping and field replacement.
Applications
Vehicle safety and telematics add‑ons for student projects, fleet demos, and lab prototypes showing event-triggered alerts and data logging.
Forensic accident analysis training tools demonstrating synchronized sensor timelines and geotagged event trails on removable storage.
Drunk‑driving detection demos with real-time notifications and repeatable test scenarios on benchtop or test rigs.
