 1.  Project Engineer – I - Unmanned Systems SBU

Location- Bengaluru

Vacancies: 2 (Electronics)

Qualifications: BE/B.Tech in EE, ECE, ETE

Salary: ₹40,000/month (initial), increasing annually up to ₹55,000 by the fourth year

Age Limit: - Up to 32 years (with relaxation for reserved categories)

Selection Process: Written Test and Interview

Job Description- The Project Engineer-I position at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) involves a varied set of duties in field operations, customer care, development and engineering (D&E) support, and production support. This job is suited for candidates who are flexible, technically competent, and ready to assume hands-on duties in a dynamic project setup.


Project Engineers will be stationed at different project locations as part of the field assignment for the implementation of key assignments. This involves managing the installation and commissioning of equipment and systems, technical supervision of installation, and ensuring that project activities are completed according to established timelines and quality standards. Apart from execution duties, the engineer will provide product support at customers' sites by working alongside internal teams and customers to troubleshoot, address working issues, and provide assurance of maximum system performance after deployment. Another important function of the role is managing Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) on customer premises. Engineers are expected to extend prompt support and services for maintenance of systems supplied by BEL with the aim of keeping customers satisfied and meeting service level agreements. It includes maintenance, fault identification, rectification, and recording service history. In the Development & Engineering (D&E) support position, the Project Engineer will be supporting diverse activities such as carrying out field trials, evaluation and validation of systems in development, and production of technical documents required. The engineer will aid core D&E teams with aggregating trial feedback, verification of product performance versus specifications, and making recommendations for design improvements against field data. For the manufacturing area, the function involves lending experienced manpower assistance for production-related activities on a contractual basis. Engineers can be deployed to aid in the assembly, testing, and quality checking of its product lines so that production timelines and standards are met. Their function in this area will contribute to making the manufacturing processes smoother and sustaining the necessary throughput and quality levels.


In all, the Project Engineer-I role provides a balanced experience in project execution, customer service, engineering validation, and production support. The applicant must be open to field postings, have good coordination and communication skills, and be dedicated to delivering excellence consistent with its's reputation for quality and technological leadership.


 


2.  Project Engineer - I - Military Radars (MR) - SBU

Location- Bengaluru

Qualifications: BE/B.Tech in Electronics Domain

Salary: ₹40,000/month (1st year), ₹45,000 (2nd year), ₹50,000 (3rd year), ₹55,000 (4th year)

Age Limit: 32 years

Job Description- The job entails IP-enabled sensor device configuration, upgradation, and maintenance like cameras, radars, and controllers for electric fences and their ancillaries such that uptime Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are continually achieved. The incumbent will maintain Data Centre hardware like servers, switches, storage devices, fire control systems, access control devices, CCTV setups, precision air conditioners, diesel generator sets, and UPS units with emphasis on uptime objectives. Also, the role involves configuration, updating, and maintenance of IT application software and its uninterrupted operation within specified SLA boundaries. The engineer will also be responsible for the setup and maintenance of Command and Control Centre elements like PCs, workstations, data walls, sensor networks, and power systems, ensuring all components operate seamlessly in accordance with uptime SLAs. The candidate will liaise with customers, OEMs, vendors, and BEL Bengaluru to ensure smooth project execution, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities. They will ensure all standard documents necessary for internal and external audits are maintained. The job also involves registering complaints and resolving them, checking systems through Network Management Systems (NMS), and providing logistical support as and when needed. Good client interaction skills are required, as the engineer will oversee ticket handling, alarm escalation, and communication with customers. Efficient documentation and reporting of system status and operational tasks is essential for the role. Coordination with partners, vendors, and end-users is necessary for the resolution of issues and maintaining SLA compliance. Troubleshooting skills and effective delivery of technical solutions are also fundamental responsibilities.


Candidates need to be ready to work on three rotational shifts and have proper documentation and reporting of all system-related activities.
