Training Phase (2 Months)


Week 1: Fundamentals of Embedded Systems and 8051 Microcontroller

  1. Introduction to Embedded Systems:

  2. 8051 Microcontroller Overview:

    • Key features and applications.

    • Comparison: Microcontroller vs. Microprocessor.

  3. 8051 Architecture and Pin Diagram:

    • Internal architecture: ALU, registers, memory organization, I/O ports.

    • Explanation of all pins and their functions.

  4. Crystal Frequency and Machine Cycle:

    • Role of the crystal oscillator.

    • Instruction cycle and machine cycle.

  5. Keil IDE Installation and Setup:

    • Installing Keil uVision IDE.

    • Overview of the development environment.


Week 2: Embedded C Programming Basics and Keil IDE

  1. Introduction to Embedded C:

    • Why Embedded C?

    • Embedded C program structure.

  2. Programming Basics:

    • Data types, variables, and constants.

    • Arithmetic and bitwise operators.

  3. SPI Communication Protocol:

    • Understanding SPI Protocol.

    • Programming the 8051(AT89S51/AT89C51) using SPI Protocol.

  4. LED Interfacing:

    • Basics of LED interfacing with 8051.

    • Writing and testing a program to blink an LED.


Week 3: Timers and Counters in 8051 Microcontroller

  1. Timers in 8051:

    • Mode 0, Mode 1, and Mode 2.

    • Concept of delay generation.

  2. Timers Practical Implementation:

    • LED blinking using timers.

    • Generating accurate delays.

  3. Counters in 8051:

    • Introduction to counters and their applications.

    • Interfacing push buttons for event counting.

  4. Practical Task:

    • Design a counter system to count button presses and display the count on an LCD.


Week 4: UART Communication with 8051

  1. Introduction to UART:

    • Serial communication basics.

    • 8051 UART architecture and registers.

  2. Practical UART Communication:

    • Connecting with Bluetooth Module via UART Protocol.

    • Controlling LED using Bluetooth.


Week 5: ADC and Sensor Interfacing

  1. Analog-to-Digital Conversion (ADC):

    • Concepts of ADC.

    • Interfacing ADS1115 with 8051 using the help of I2C Communication Protocol.

  2. Potentiometer as ADC Input:

    • Demonstrate analog value readings using a potentiometer.

  3. LM35 Temperature Sensor Interfacing:

    • Read temperature from LM35 using ADC.

    • Display temperature readings on an LCD.


Week 6: Motors and Relays

  1. DC Motor Interfacing:

    • Basics of DC motor working

    • Program to control motor direction.

  2. Relay Interfacing:

    • Relay basics and safety precautions.

    • Control a 12V bulb using a relay with 8051.

  3. Servo Motor Interfacing:

    • Introduction to servo motors.

    • Control a servo using PWM signals from 8051.


Week 7: Advanced Interfacing and Wireless Communication

  1. Push Button Interfacing:

    • Control an LED or DC motor using the Push button/s.

  2. Buzzer Interfacing:

    • Use 8051 to activate a buzzer based on specific conditions.

  3. Wireless Control of LEDs:

    • Bluetooth module (e.g., HC-05) interfacing with 8051.

    • Control LEDs via a smartphone app.


Week 8: Project Assignment

Project - Smart Home Automation System with Digital Weather Station:


Build a Smart Home Automation System that includes:

  • A relay and LDR sensor to control a 12V bulb based on sunlight.

  • A digital weather station to display temperature data.

  • Fan/DC motor control based on temperature

  • Door Lock System Prototype using servo and motion sensor based on human presence

  • Display Data over Bluetooth App and control the appliances(Bulb, Fan).


Internship Phase (1 Month)


  1. Total 4 Projects(1 project per week)

  2. Interns will work on real-world projects under guidance.

  3. Both team-based and individual projects would be assigned.

  4. Deliverables: Complete project documentation, report submission, presentation, and a project explanation video.

2. What is the duration of the program?

The program spans 3 months:

  • 2 months of training with weekly online sessions.

  • 1 month of internship, where you work on real-world projects.

3. What will I learn during this training?

You will gain hands-on experience with:

  • 8051 Microcontroller architecture and programming.

  • Interfacing components like motors, relays, sensors, and Bluetooth modules.

  • Real-time project development, culminating in industry-ready skills.

4. Are the sessions live or recorded?

The sessions are conducted live. Participants who purchase the "Standard Plus" ticket will also get access to the session recordings for future reference.

5. What if I miss a live session?

You can access the recorded sessions if you have a "Standard Plus" ticket. Otherwise, you may review the shared training materials to catch up.

6. Are there doubt-clearing sessions?

Yes, dedicated doubt-clearing sessions are part of the program to ensure participants fully understand the concepts. Tentatively, we are planning to conduct doubt-clearing sessions on every Saturday.

7. What is included in the training kit?

The training kit includes all necessary components for the training phase. The detailed list is available in the description above.

8. When will I receive the training kit?

The kit will be dispatched within 3-4 days of successful registration. Shipping details will be shared with participants. Training Kits will be available for participants depending on the tickets purchased.

9. Do I need to buy additional components for the internship projects?

Yes, the training kit only covers components for the training phase. Components for the internship projects can be purchased separately or simulated using software.

10. Is the internship mandatory?

While it is optional, the internship provides valuable real-world experience and boosts your resume.

11. Will I get an internship certificate?

Yes, participants completing the internship phase successfully will receive an Internship Certificate.

12. Will I be paid during the internship?

Yes, a stipend of INR 5000 will be provided upon successful completion of the internship.

13. Are there multiple ticket options?

Yes, there are various ticket options that participants can select and purchase according to their needs/requirements.

14. Can I get a refund if I cancel my registration?

We will use Keil µVision IDE for coding.
